How long does it take to unblock the fallopian tubes with Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture?
On average treatment of 3 – 6 months is recommended, however many patients at Ginsen have seen successful results in a shorter time.
A study in 2015 looked at the effects of Chinese herbal medicine on infertility of 4,247 women many of whom experienced tubal obstruction. On average 60% of women who received Chinese herbal medicine conceived successfully compared to 33% that only received western medicine.
Would Chinese medicine help me if I have tubal blockage and need to undertake IVF?
Yes, Acupuncture and Chinese medicine can be effective for fallopian tube blockage as it works by getting to the root cause. It can also be used in conjunction with IVF treatments. It is important to note that this treatment will not be effective where the tubes have been severely damaged or the damage is irreversible. IVF should be undertaking as a last resort when both the tubes are lost and/ or are no longer ovulating.
