Patient Background / Story

When Rachel Moreno first came to GinSen on 11th November 2025, she was in the middle of her third miscarriage, on the very same day she reached out to us.Her first pregnancy in September 2023 had been a molar pregnancy — an anembryonic gestation, an empty sac with no baby inside.

Her second, in March 2024, ended at six weeks with cramping and prolonged bleeding that lasted 28 days. Her uterus was checked and confirmed normal,  but that offered little comfort. Her third  the most devastating of all had shown a heartbeat at six weeks. By eight weeks, that heartbeat was gone. On 11th November 2025, the very day she contacted GinSen, she passed the sac and embryo after taking medication to help the process.Three pregnancies.

Three losses. Each one leaving a deeper mark than the last.

She was 45. Her AMH was 0.66. She had been prescribed progesterone during her last pregnancy, a sign that her levels were already struggling to sustain life. The medical system had done its checks, given her answers, but not hope.

She was exhausted in every sense of the word. But she hadn’t given up. And neither had we.

How We Helped : The GinSen TCM Way

At GinSen, we look at the whole picture — not just the test results, but the body’s deeper patterns of imbalance. Rachel’s case was complex, but in TCM, her story told a clear and familiar pattern. Her body was depleted at its very roots, and it needed rebuilding from the ground up.

1. Nourishing Kidney Jing and Addressing Low AMH
In TCM, the kidneys govern reproductive energy, egg quality, and the body’s fundamental life essence — Jing. Rachel’s low AMH, recurrent miscarriages, night sweats, frequent night waking, and lower back pain near the sacrum were all classic signs of deep Kidney Jing deficiency. We prescribed a personalised herbal tea formula specifically designed to replenish her Kidney Jing, strengthen her reproductive foundation, and support healthier egg quality at 45.

2. Resolving Qi Stagnation and Blood Stasis
Recurrent miscarriage in TCM is closely linked to Blood Stasis  stagnant, poorly circulating blood that cannot properly nourish and hold a pregnancy. We worked to move stagnant Qi and Blood, improve uterine circulation, and create a warmer, more nourishing environment for implantation and embryo development.

3. Rebuilding Blood and Qi
Low progesterone, fatigue, poor sleep, and night sweating all pointed to significant Blood and Qi deficiency. Her body simply did not have enough vital energy to sustain a pregnancy. Through herbal support, acupuncture, and targeted nutrition, we worked to rebuild her blood reserves, strengthen her system, and restore the energy her body so desperately needed.

4. Supporting Sleep and Overall Wellbeing

Waking at 3am is a classic sign in TCM of Liver Blood deficiency and an overactive mind. By addressing the root causes of her sleep disruption alongside her other symptoms, we helped her body recover more deeply each night, an essential part of rebuilding her strength for pregnancy.

What Her Plan Looked Like

Lifestyle Support:

  • Prioritising deep, restorative sleep
  • Stress reduction to support hormonal balance
  • Gentle movement to ease back stiffness and encourage circulation
  • Consistent daily routines to regulate her cycle and nervous system

The Result

By the time Rachel checked in with us during her follow-up sessions, the changes were already visible. Her energy had returned. Her right-sided back pain, which had been a constant companion, was completely gone. Her digestion had settled. Her appetite was regular. Her body was responding.

On 21st March 2026,  just over four months after beginning her GinSen TCM journey, Rachel confirmed she was pregnant.

At 45, after three heartbreaking losses, with low AMH and a body that had been through more grief than most people will ever know, Rachel Moreno’s body found what it had been working towards all along, the strength, the balance, and the nourishment to carry new life.
