Patient Background / Story
When Elina Voss walked into GinSen in July 2025, she carried more than most 28-year-olds should have to. She had already lost a pregnancy at ten weeks in 2024. She had then been diagnosed with multiple fibroids, the largest measuring 7cm. And despite trying to conceive for a year, nothing was happening.
On the surface, Elina appeared to be doing well. She ate healthily, fish, vegetables, eggs and berries daily. She slept well. Her hormones tested normal. Her GP had even reassured her that her fibroids, now shrinking, should not stand in the way of conception.
But her body was telling a quieter story. She felt cold easily. By evening, fatigue would settle over her like a weight. She carried stress that never quite lifted. And her uterus, in TCM terms, was cold, not receiving the warmth and circulation it needed to welcome new life.
She had done everything right. She just needed the right support.
How We Helped : The GinSen TCM Way
At GinSen, we look beyond hormone panels and scan results. With Elina, the TCM picture was clear: a cold uterus, Kidney Yang deficiency, and a body that, despite appearing healthy on paper, lacked the deep warmth and energy needed to sustain a pregnancy.
1. Warming the Uterus and Strengthening Kidney Yang
A cold uterus in TCM is one of the most common and overlooked causes of difficulty conceiving and early miscarriage. Elina’s evening fatigue, tendency to feel cold, 35-day cycle, and small blood clots were all signs that her uterine environment lacked the warmth needed for implantation. We prescribed a personalised herbal tea formula to warm her Kidney Yang, improve blood flow to the uterus, and create the nurturing internal environment an embryo needs to thrive.
2. Supporting Egg Quality and Hormonal Balance
Although Elina’s hormones tested normal, optimising egg quality at the cellular level is essential — especially following a previous miscarriage. Our Egg Kit was included in her plan to provide targeted nutritional and herbal support for egg health, improving her chances of a healthy conception and a sustained pregnancy.
3. Addressing Anaemia and Building Blood
Anaemia is a significant but often underestimated factor in fertility. In TCM, insufficient Blood means the uterus cannot be properly nourished. We worked with Elina’s existing diet, already rich in fish and vegetables, and built on it with targeted guidance to support iron levels and strengthen her Blood naturally.
4. Reducing Stress and Supporting Fibroid Management
Stress directly disrupts hormonal balance and worsens the cold, stagnant patterns that contribute to fibroids and cold uterus. Alongside her herbal treatment, we supported Elina with lifestyle and dietary guidance to reduce stress, support her body’s natural fibroid management, and keep her system as warm and flowing as possible.

The Result
By October 2025, Elina’s fibroids had shrunk significantly, so much so that her GP confirmed they would no longer affect her chances of conception. She ovulated on 20th October and tried naturally with her partner that month, feeling warmer, stronger, and more hopeful than she had in years.
On 31st December 2025, just five and a half months after beginning her GinSen journey, Elina’s urine test confirmed what she had been hoping and working towards: she was pregnant.
No bleeding. No dizziness. Just warmth, good sleep, and a quiet, growing joy.
At 28, after a miscarriage, multiple fibroids, and a year of trying, Elina Voss found her way to the other side, with a little warmth, the right herbs, and a team that never stopped believing her body could do this.
